Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the ACI Ridge application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is provided by Ridge Community Cathedral, a branch of Action Chapel International, located at 31 Volta Street, Ridge, Kumasi, Ghana (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Church”). These Terms apply to all visitors, members, and users of the App.
The app & its purpose
ACI Ridge is a devotional companion app. It is offered freely to support your spiritual life and your connection to the Church. Features may include:
- The Lamp — a daily devotion, scripture reading, and reflection.
- Guided prayer & declarations — including audio and an eyes-closed listening mode.
- Service times, events, and notifications to keep you connected to the life of the Church.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial, devotional use.
Your account
Some features may require an account. Accounts are created using Sign in with Apple, which is the only sign-in method the App offers. Your Apple ID and password are handled by Apple; we never receive them. You agree to:
- Keep your Apple ID secure and under your own control.
- Accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Accounts for children are the responsibility of a parent or guardian.
Acceptable use
We ask that you use the App in a manner consistent with its devotional purpose and with respect for others. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt our systems or security.
- Copy, distribute, or republish App content except as expressly permitted.
- Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringing.
- Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or overload the App.
Content & intellectual property
All devotions, audio, artwork, logos, the flame mark, and other materials in the App are owned by or licensed to the Church and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
Your licence to use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App and its content for your own devotional use.
Scripture
Scripture quotations may be drawn from translations used under their respective licences. Those translations remain the property of their publishers.
Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services — app stores, Sign in with Apple, audio hosting, and analytics. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
The App does not offer giving, tithes, or donations, and we do not collect payments through it.
Disclaimers
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we strive to keep it accurate and available, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Devotional and pastoral content is offered for spiritual encouragement and is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Church and its leaders, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
